Humboldt County’s Best Reclaimed Barn Wood

Barn Wood

Reclaimed barn with wood exposed to the elements in Eureka

Humboldt County Barns

We’ve been dismantling barns throughout Humboldt County, from Orick to Loleta, Carlotta to Ferndale. Mostly Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), they contain materials prized for decking and panelling, with tight grain, few to no knots. While some of this material has been sold, we will be dismantling several large early 20th century barns in Loleta and Ferndale. There is a steady supply of old growth redwood 1x barn siding, 2x6 rafters, and 6x6 timbers.

These barns were built in the early part of the 20th century when only the finest redwood was used. There are many different dimensions of 1x as well as 4x and 6x salvaged redwood and corrugated metal roofing.
