HeartPine Threshold
Photos taken at George Washington's house at Mount Vernon, Virginia.
Much of the wood in this eighteenth century home was of HeartPine. Taking photos of the floor are not permitted to protect the interior of the home from camera flash. But we were able to take these pictures from outside.
Notice how well the HeartPine has lasted through all these centuries and the foot-traffic of millions of visitors. The finish has been worn off the threshold, but still it retains its strength and function. The floor at Mount Vernon has been refinished and looks as good today as it must have in Washington's time.
You can expect your HeartPine floor to last and last as well.
